I weighed in yesterday morning. I don’t know the last time I reported on my weight loss efforts here, but I was at 142. I’ve been kind of swirling there. It’s how I lose weight. I’m up and down then back up, then down, then down, the further down, then up a little. It’s a constant fluctuation, which would be enough to drive one crazy. That’s why I don’t write about it so often, although I weight myself a few times a week.
It’s taken me about 5 months to lose this last 10 lbs. But more importantly, I’ve lost 5 in the last 6 weeks – a hard five. The hardest part is that I am building muscle mass, so that makes it much more difficult to trim weight. I am getting slimmer, but I still weigh more because muscle is heavier than fat.
I’m back into all of my old cloths – just in time for winter. Perfect. I’m enjoying my favorite jeans and debating on what to do with the 2 pairs I bought last winter that slide just a little in the waist. I can always wear a belt I guess.
My diet still has a lot to be desired. I’m not a veggie person, especially in the winter time. I love carbs. That’s me. I still can improve a lot there. My biggest plus is my running. I did speed work yesterday. That was something, and I’m sure my metabolism shot way up there. With the colder weather sinking in, I’m just going to have to work harder at getting out there. I didn’t quite make it this morning. 30s, yeah. But I am prepared to be out there. It just takes a little work.
